Ask a question:

Pass Target to LP

Solution This is used when you want to pass the target that triggered your POP to your landing page.

So you could say “Special Offer for Walmart customers!” or if Bidding on Keywords, “Looking for Walmart?” Checking the box 'Pass Target to LP as Target' will update your campaign url automatically. You will also need to add ONE of the two following codes to your Landing Page where you want the code to POP:

1) <?php echo($_GET["target"]) ?>

2) <?php $target = str_replace('http://', '', str_replace('https://', '', str_replace('www.', '', $_GET["target"]))); echo(ucfirst(strpos($target,'/') !== false ? substr($target,0,strpos($target,'/')) : $target)); ?>

These codes are found at the bottom of the campaign setup page. See the attached screenshots below.

The difference between the 2 codes is:

1) <?php echo($_GET["target"]) ?>

This codes inserts the keyword as if...so for example if the visitor used http://www.walmart.com, this will appear in your landing page exactly as: “Special Offer for http://www.walmart.com customers!”!

2) <?php $target = str_replace('http://', '', str_replace('https://', '', str_replace('www.', '', $_GET["target"]))); echo(ucfirst(strpos($target,'/') !== false ? substr($target,0,strpos($target,'/')) : $target)); ?>

This code will clean up the keyword. So if the original keyword was http://www.walmart.com the keyword will appear is: “Special Offer for Walmart customers!”
